While autthorites are saying that these are NOT terror related, it is pointed out in this video that we have heard that before…..and it has been wrong.

Obama compares Gulf leak to 9/11 attacks?

Shared by Pratts Pub

Oh man, what goes through Obama’s mind? And how often am I going to have to ask that question.

It just shows how insensitive he is.

I can’ think of any situation where I would make such a comparison. Obviously if something else like 9/11 happened, then MAYBE.

But….I don’t even know what to say.

British families of 9/11 victims described Barack Obama as ‘cruel’ yesterday for comparing the terrorist outrage to the BP oil spill.

The U.S. president said there were ‘echoes’ between the Gulf of Mexico disaster and the Al Qaeda suicide attacks which killed 2,995 people, including 67 Britons.

He said that just as the events of September 11, 2001, had profoundly shaped ‘our view of our vulnerabilities and our foreign policy’, so the oil disaster would shape thinking on the environment and energy for years to come.

Those who lost loved ones when terrorists flew hijacked planes into the Twin Towers of New York’s World Trade Centre said Mr Obama’s remarks were yet another attempt to slur the UK.

Joy Bennett, 66, a mother of two from Amersham in Buckinghamshire whose son Oli, a 29-year-old financial journalist, died, said: ‘It is an unfair parallel and is really a cruel thing to say.

‘I can see what he is trying to say but to compare a manmade deliberate terrorist attack to something that is an accident is absolutely wrong. Mr Obama seems intent on causing as much offence to Britain as possible.

Amazing how any time you hear anything along these lines it is not he “crazy Tea Party” members doing it.

This guy takes a good punch defending his wife…and it appears he stays upright as well.

A peaceful Tea Party demonstration that a crazy loon interrupts by throwing punches and pushing women.

U.N. council hits defiant Iran with new sanctions

Shared by Pratts Pub

We’ll see how far this goes. There are many that say this won’t affect anything with Iran.

Think I tend to agree with them. I don’t think Iran cares what we or the rest of the world thinks.

The sanctions are going to blacklist dozens of Iranian military, industrial and shipping firms.

Don’t know what exactly that is going to mean for Iran…but once again, don’t think it amounts to much.

And Obama says the sanctions, including inspections of suspect cargoes to and from Iran and tighten an arms embargo, would be vigorously enforced.

Ahhhh….doesn’t Obama sound so tough once again. Didn’t see anywhere in this article where he talked about “kicking their ass” if necessary.

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) – The U.N. Security Council imposed a fourth round of sanctions in as many years on a defiant Iran on Wednesday over a nuclear program the West suspects is aimed at developing

Arizona state Treasurer Dean Martin wants Illegal immigrant 'tent city' holding centers

Shared by Pratts Pub

I am waiting for the back lash on this.

Keep in mind that apparently Arizona has similar “tent cities” already set up to handle the amount of DUI offenders and inmates from crowded county jails.

This article also points out that the tent cities in Maricopa County get favorable news coverage and have proven politically popular.

Sounds like a good idea to me.

The Ariz. state treasurer calls for the creation of statewide tent cities to house illegal immigrants.

Left to Obama: We're not happy

Shared by Pratts Pub

Don’t know why, but I find great humor in the left not being happy with Obama especially since this President is about as left as it comes.

I also think this is maybe a smoke screen of sorts. I have no doubt that the left isn’t happy with him, but if he’s the guy to vote for then you can still bet they will sink all their money and energy into getting him elected.

Liberal activists warn that the president can no longer count on support key to protecting Dems.

Video: Umpire costs pitcher a perfect game

As you can imagine here in Michigan and probably especially in Detroit people are in an uproar about this.

Actually, in all honestly listening to local talk radio there are many fans out there that are saying “it is what it is” and saying that they do NOT want instant replays in baseball.

They are also saying that the MLB should not change the ruling on that play.

Now, there are a lot saying stuff like that, but overwhelmingly people are pretty ticked off.

White House offering jobs: ethical?

I keep trying to fully wrap my head around all of this. I know it’s wrong, I just can’t seem to grasp how wrong.

I am sure past administrations have done the same thing…..but that doesn’t make it right.

Criminal?

Obama insiders tried to keep another Democrat from the Senate race. A California Republican calls foul.

Obama fails the test of leadership

Shared by Pratts Pub

I think he failed that test along time ago.

It has been amazing, just his lack of…..well, leadership. There really isn’t any.

Instead of addressing issues it’s all former President Bush’s fault or the Republican’s fault.

Even after being in office this long, that is all he really has to say. It’s not my fault. Of course we also here things “the buck stops here” followed by “look at the mess we had when I came into office”.

President? More like a clown.

Bush would waterboard Khalid Sheik Mohammed again

Shared by Pratts Pub

Why wouldn’t he. I always thought the waterboarding subject was ridiculous especially after hearing that it has worked and also reading (or watching…can’t remember) that most of these guys (terrorists) are willing to talk. They just have to believe that they have been “persuaded” enough.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) – Ex-President George W. Bush says if he had it to do over, he’d still waterboard Khalid Sheik Mohammed, the man accused of masterminding the 9/11 attacks.

Bush made the comment Wednesday night in Grand Rapids.

During a question & answer session at the Economic Club of Grand Rapids, Bush acknowledged use of the interrogation technique against Mohammed. Bush says he'd "do it again to save lives."
