Amazing how any time you hear anything along these lines it is not he “crazy Tea Party” members doing it.

This guy takes a good punch defending his wife…and it appears he stays upright as well.

A peaceful Tea Party demonstration that a crazy loon interrupts by throwing punches and pushing women.

U.N. council hits defiant Iran with new sanctions

Shared by Pratts Pub

We’ll see how far this goes. There are many that say this won’t affect anything with Iran.

Think I tend to agree with them. I don’t think Iran cares what we or the rest of the world thinks.

The sanctions are going to blacklist dozens of Iranian military, industrial and shipping firms.

Don’t know what exactly that is going to mean for Iran…but once again, don’t think it amounts to much.

And Obama says the sanctions, including inspections of suspect cargoes to and from Iran and tighten an arms embargo, would be vigorously enforced.

Ahhhh….doesn’t Obama sound so tough once again. Didn’t see anywhere in this article where he talked about “kicking their ass” if necessary.

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) – The U.N. Security Council imposed a fourth round of sanctions in as many years on a defiant Iran on Wednesday over a nuclear program the West suspects is aimed at developing

Left to Obama: We're not happy

Shared by Pratts Pub

Don’t know why, but I find great humor in the left not being happy with Obama especially since this President is about as left as it comes.

I also think this is maybe a smoke screen of sorts. I have no doubt that the left isn’t happy with him, but if he’s the guy to vote for then you can still bet they will sink all their money and energy into getting him elected.

Liberal activists warn that the president can no longer count on support key to protecting Dems.

Bush would waterboard Khalid Sheik Mohammed again

Shared by Pratts Pub

Why wouldn’t he. I always thought the waterboarding subject was ridiculous especially after hearing that it has worked and also reading (or watching…can’t remember) that most of these guys (terrorists) are willing to talk. They just have to believe that they have been “persuaded” enough.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) – Ex-President George W. Bush says if he had it to do over, he’d still waterboard Khalid Sheik Mohammed, the man accused of masterminding the 9/11 attacks.

Bush made the comment Wednesday night in Grand Rapids.

During a question & answer session at the Economic Club of Grand Rapids, Bush acknowledged use of the interrogation technique against Mohammed. Bush says he'd "do it again to save lives."

Census workers can enter your apartment in your absence

Shared by Pratts Pub

Believe me, I understand the importance of the Census. I think the government may use the info in ways that I wouldn’t like one comment on this article on the original site says —

“….the country would come to a stand still if gov does not know who to pass the money around to….”.

But, even though we do need to know how many people live in this country and where they are (population wise…not necessarily knowing where an individual is), this seems pretty ludicrous that they can enter an apartment of establishment that you may be renting.

CRAZY.

Thousands of census workers, including many temporary employees, are fanning out across America to gather information on the citizenry.  This is a process

Obama's new security strategy breaks with Bush

Shared by Pratts Pub

We all know this. We all know Obama has this fantasy vision of the rest of the world caring about the United States.

He is depending on other countries to help us and help protect us.

There is nothing wrong with the “going alone” thinking. If other countries want jump on board that is fine, but now one can protect us better than ourselves.

Bottom line, say what you want. No one has more interest in the safety and well being of this country than we do.

(AP Photo/Alex Brandon)AP – President Barack Obama is breaking with the go-it-alone Bush years in a new strategy for keeping the nation safe, counting more on U.S. allies to tackle terrorism and other global problems. It’s an approach that already has proved tricky in practice.

President Obama clashes with McCain in Republican luncheon

Shared by Pratts Pub

What? Obama hostile towards Republicans? I just find that hard to believe! Don’t you?

And McCain. He sure is putting up a good fight now. Probably a day late and dollar short.

He is doing some great grandstanding now.

But apparently after the meeting Obama has called for 1200 National Guard troops to hit the border. McCain came back saying 6000 are needed.

I would have to agree. While every bit would help, I don’t think 1200 for the whole border will be very specific.

The article doesn’t really say if it is just Arizona border…or the whole border. I believe it’s the whole border so 1200 is a pretty small number of troops really.

President Barack Obama battled with Senate Republicans in a tense closed-door meeting Tuesday, facing tough criticism from his GOP adversaries — including John McCain — on issues ranging from health care to border security.

Senators and other sources inside the meeting described the gathering as “testy” and “direct” — and Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) accused Obama of acting two-faced by asking for GOP support on regulatory reform only to push forward with a bill supported mainly by Democrats. Others felt that the meeting may have made already tense relations between the two parties even worse.

“The more he talked, the more he got upset,” Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kan.) said. “He needs to take a valium before he comes in and talks to Republicans and just calm down, and don’t take anything so seriously. If you disagree with someone, it doesn’t mean you’re attacking their motives — and he takes it that way and tends then to lecture and then gets upset.”

What this means is that there are a bunch of sell outs. Congressmen that don’t want to vote for it but are being promised favors or provisions.

Unbelievable that on such a huge, financially impacting and country changing issue that there would be sell outs……

Newsmax – Stupak: Pro-Life Dems Caving to Obamacare

Shared by Pratts Pub

Well Stupak is supposedly sticking to his guns.

I am really curious though what possible arm twisting could be happening for people to back down from their beliefs.

I for one believe what I believe. You can’t make me change that…or vote for something that is contradictory to that……

Supposedly pro-life Democrats are caving one-by-one on their anti-abortion principles to backroom deals by House Democratic leaders seeking the votes to pass Obamacare, Rep. Bart Stupak, D-Mich., said Friday.
