I keep being amazed at how main stream TV media, radio and newspapers keep falsely reporting what is in the Arizona Immigration Bill.
I keep reading/hearing things in reports like “the new Arizona law which allows police to stop people if they suspect them of being illegal….”.
Hello, have you read the bill? Apparently people like Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, ASST Secretary Of State PJ Crowley, AG Eric Holder and others have NOT read the bill…..but yet they are against it.

Ok, so all these “important” people haven’t read it, but yet they are against it. And why are they against something that they have not even read? In fact I think Eric Holder said something along the lines that he had not read it, but that he had seen and heard numerous news reports about it.
Well, no wonder he is against. Most of the news sources are reporting it wrong.
Despite what you may be reading on CBS.com or hearing on your local news or even reading in the newspapers….police can not just stop someone because they they think someone may be illegally in this country. They have to have been stopped for another reason and then through the process of normal questioning if they officer determines that someone may be here illegally, then they can peruse that avenue of questioning.

I know right? Why in the hell am I talking about China in an Arizona Illegal Immigrant post? Well, it turns out the U.S. Government wanted to bring it up to the Chinese. Why? You got me. I have no idea and am laughing very hard right now about it. But for some reason our Government wanted to take this fight to the Chinese and try pointing out our human rights issues….or something.

NAZI GERMANY LIKE LAW
And let’s get something else cleared up here. People are crying about how absurd it is for the police to be able to “ask for people’s papers” remittance of Nazi Germany. Remember what I said in the previous paragraph. They must be stopped for something else first.
What happens if the police pull you over? They ask for your papers don’t they? They want license, registration and proof of insurance. And what if you can’t provide the proper “papers”? Don’t they start digging a little deeper? Start asking more questions? Don’t you need to find a way to prove who you are especially if you don’t have your license on you?
Have you ever forgot your license and been pulled over? I have and believe me I was sweating bullets trying to convince the officer of who I was (oh yeah, I am a middle aged white male).
So now you have other prominent figures comparing the Arizona law to Nazi Germany. What? You have people saying that the police can just walk up to and “ask for papers”. This is completely untrue.
Our fearless President Obama stated he thought that law was bad because you could simply take your kid out for some ice cream, forget your wallet and potentially be in a lot of trouble.
Well, yeah if your driving. But regardless of this law or not, that could be the case.
RACIST AND ALLOWS RACIAL PROFILING
Uhmm….no. You obviously have not read the bill. The bill specifically prohibits this. I don’t know what else can be said. Read it.
But, overall what is wrong with racial profiling? Racial profiling is a necessity in law enforcement. Do you ever watch Criminal Minds or other shows like that. Police and F.B.I. consistently put together profiles. And in those profiles are things like “singe, white male, 24-30 years old”.
Wouldn’t you find mostly illegal Hispanics in Arizona while in Michigan you would mostly find Illegal Canadians? Yes, there are cases of illegal Canadians being sent home.
If the cops are looking for a black guy driving a blue ’68 Camaro, are they wrong to stop a early model Camaro being drove by a black guy?
UNCONSTITUTIONAL?
Nope. Look, this mirrors the the Federal Law. So how can it be unconstitutional?
As Erik Uliasz at philly2philly.com points out some say that only the Feds can handle immigration. He is what Erik points out.
The Arizona Law is unconstitutional because ONLY the national government can enforce immigration law. The idea that foreign affairs is exclusively the province of the federal government is commonly asserted. But this not necessarily true– at least if one respects the Constitution’s text and original understanding.
Although Article I Section 8 of the Constitution gives Congress the power to make naturalization laws, nowhere does the Constitution specifically mention which level of government enforces immigration policy. One could make the argument that states have the right to enforce immigration policy, especially if the federal government has been negligent, due to the Tenth Amendment.
And in the basics, here is all that has changed.
Prior to this bill, if an officer found an illegal alien then he would hold the individual until INS or ICE (whatever it is now) showed up to deal with the person being detained.
Now, with Arizona’s new law, they don’t have to wait for INS/ICE. They can take care of it.
BOYCOTTS
These boycotts are ridiculous. In fact I am hearing now that there is a bicott going on? I think that is what it is called. Basically boycotting the cities/states that boycotting Arizona. How fun is that?
Los Angeles has come out condemning Arizona for their immigration law. Here is the funny part. Arizona Utilities Commissioner Gary Pierce has responded to Los Angeles City Council and Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa basically told Los Angeles fine, boycott us. He is is positive that he can get the Arizona Utilities Commission to redo the contract as to cut off the power that it supplies to Los Angeles.
How great is that.
Or how about the website that is just about boycotting Arizona. They have had a whopping 2,750 signatures. To funny.

Just one unbiased words with Fox news inside the Tv show. He has a truly difficult immigration policy. This individual managed to graduate about the Harvard Collage. At this moment he features the one Broadcast Show. He did not similar to the actual Usa us president.
