Obama Giving Brazil 2 Billion For Oil Exploration

I couldn’t make this stuff if I wanted to.

I am getting all of this from 1 posting at WSJ.com but apparently President Obama is willing to bank roll oil exploration in Brazil to the tune of $2 Billion.

I am not understating this and I am hoping someone out there in internet land can explain to me why we are going to back Brazil’s oil exploration and we can’t do the same thing here in the US. I think that would be much better spent here in the US myself, and on oil exploration.

This $2 Billion is for Petrobras, the Brazilian state owned oil company and $2 Billion may not be all.

Let me guess, some will make the argument that we will get oil cheaper from Brazil. SHUT IT! It would be even cheaper yet if we got here in the United States on our own.

And WAIT A MINUTE! Isn’t Obama pushing “green cars”, battery operated and alternative fuel cars? And in his grand plan we would hardly even be using oil. So wouldn’t this be classified as a “bad investment” since he wants to dramatically reduce the amount of oil that the US consumes?

Or is this to ensure that there are plenty of resources for us to be taxed out our butts for using to much energy?

Once again, I am not following Obama’s thinking and I am pretty sure MOST of America feels the same way.

$2 Billion on top of everything else? And a Liberal Socialist in favor of drilling of oil?

We have all kinds of oil here in the United States. Both inland and off shore. Why not make a pitch to get that oil? Your either for oil and drilling for oil or your not. It makes no sense.
